Reader Description

When it rains, snows, or blows, meteorologists have the job of measuring the weather. How do you tell how strong the wind is, and how drizzle is different from rain? You'll also find out how to make your own measuring devices.

After you have completed the Reader

Follow the instructions on page 25 of the book to make a rain gauge. Ask an adult to cut the bottle for you. Put your rain gauge outside in an open space. The next time it rains, check the gauge to see how much rain has fallen.
