How are teachers using their Levelled Readers nowadays?
We use them as take-home readers for those students who have moved on from decodable texts
In my prep class I use them for interest books and for added reading material
At my school they are used to practice and promote reading fluency
I re-organised them into groups to practice comprehension
Mainly for choice and enjoyment! Also for critical literacy skills like identifying big ideas and author intent
