Reader Description

Henry and Simon's mum is changing a flat tyre on their car, in her dressing gown! Have your parents ever embarrassed you?

After you have completed the Reader

Ask the children to think of a time when something embarrassing happened to them. Use one of the children's suggestions to write a story as a class. Draw three columns on chart paper, headed Beginning, Middle, and End. In the appropriate columns on the chart, record the main ideas for the story. Encourage the children to think about their own stories in this way.
