Reader Description

Sara is staying with her mother at the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre in Indonesia. She doesn't like orangutans much. Their arms are too long and their eyes are too sad. However, an encounter in the rain forest causes her to think again.

After you have completed the Reader

Finding an injured baby orangutan changes the way Sara feels about living at the rehabilitation centre. Divide a piece of paper in half. On one side, write words or phrases that show how Sara felt before she moved to the centre. On the other side, write how she felt at the end of the story. Write a sentence to explain why Sara's feelings changed.
