Reader Description

In March 2002, Dave Mills set out to be the first person to walk alone and unaided across the North Pole. His dream ended when his cooking stoves stopped working. His challenge then was to build a runway on the ice so a rescue plane could land!

After you have completed the Reader

Dave felt many emotions on his journey. On a piece of paper, draw six boxes with the headings - worried, proud, confused, happy, amazed, frustrated. Imagine you are Dave. Write an event in each box to show when you felt these emotions during the journey.
