Reader Description

What is that strange noise in the night? And why has Grandad got an unusual mask on the wall. Grandad tells John a story he heard when he was a boy in Puerto Rico, and John is not scared of the noise any more.

After you have completed the Reader

Find a quiet place at home and sit down for five minutes. Make a list of the noises you hear. Write a word for each sound, such as "zoom" when a car passes your house. Try out your sounds on someone in your family. How many sounds can they guess?
