Reader Description

These folk tales from Vietnam tell the stories of two farmers. The first farmer is an honest man who finds a pot of gold. The second farmer is a clever man who needs to escape from a tiger.

After you have completed the Reader

In the second story, the farmer fooled the tiger. He said he had left his cleverness at home and that he could go and get it. Imagine you are the farmer. How would you fool the tiger? Write a different ending to the tale.
